The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) and Traftec are leading players in the development, operation, and maintenance of Norwegian infrastructure. Together, they ensure safe, modern, and functional roads and traffic installations across the country, with high standards for quality, robustness, and operational reliability.
Fosstech’s contribution
Fosstech has delivered the development and production of robust LED solutions designed to withstand extreme Norwegian winter conditions. In the first phase of the project, we produced encapsulated in-ground electronics, drivers, high-power LED modules, and supply cables for LED luminaires on the E6 highway. In the second phase, we developed and produced 5‑meter-long encapsulated LED light strips as well as driver boxes for the Øvre Sund Bridge in Drammen.
Where customers previously experienced equipment failures, Fosstech’s solutions have now operated flawlessly through several winters of snowplowing, snow, ice, and cold. The result is a reliable, long-lasting lighting solution that meets strict requirements for service life and quality.
