Fosstech’s contribution
Fosstech has delivered encapsulated and robust sensor and cable systems used by 4Subsea for long‑term monitoring of critical subsea equipment. The work has included the development and production of encapsulated strain sensors, complete cable and connector solutions, as well as X‑ray inspection of components to ensure high quality and material integrity.
The delivery also includes the development of customized solutions for measuring wear over time, combining different materials, encapsulated electronics, and stringent requirements for both mechanical strength and watertightness. Through close collaboration on both development and production, Fosstech has manufactured series of 10–50 units with consistent quality and documentation, contributing to 4Subsea’s ability to deliver precise and reliable measurement systems for demanding offshore environments.
