Fosstech’s contribution
Fosstech has developed the electromechanical control system for Shearwater’s Monowing – a control wing that regulates the angle of the otter boards that keep seismic streamers correctly positioned in the water. The work includes the design and manufacturing of control modules, sensor interfaces, and a robust electrical infrastructure adapted to dynamic loads and continuous vibration.
The system components are developed with a strong emphasis on reliability, responsiveness, and marine robustness, and are tested for both electrical and mechanical stresses. The solution provides Shearwater with precise control of the spread geometry, improving data quality and making seismic operations more efficient.
